should i go to this campus to be a personal trainer? please i need your opinion?
the name of this college is called brian college here is the link http://www.bryancollege.edu/programs/per… Ok so so i have a pasion for the health and fitness industry, and i am considering becoming a personal trainer. by attending this college for a time of 14 months they offer a associates degree in Personal Training certification exams from NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) and the Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) credentials to name a few. but since 2009 ive been attending a community college and i have taken a bunch of courses from all types. what i want is to to transfer to a university. but i don’t know if to finish my degree first in the community college and transfer to a university, or attend brian college. today i spoke with somebody in brian college and the cost will be about 22,000 dollars. but i don’t know if decide in there or the other. in brian college its MUCH faster but, i will have debt. for about 16,000. also ive heard that private or trade schools are not a good thing. what is the difference of obtaining a degree in a private college vs a normal school? Also that same day after i spoke to the lady i attend a open house meeting. there was a speaker talking about all the great things that you will do for people like working with people who are recovering lets say form a injuries, rehab, people with diabetes, others who need rehabilitation like those people who are starting to walk either because either they were hospitalize, or had a accident. Also they said that you could work in some type of hospital places, gyms, and other places to. Also they say to teach you about business, and if you graduate they will help you find a job, because of all the support form the they have. But when i was there it look to me more like a business than anything else. there were only about 20 people that day and only about 3 sign joined. I mean i had a gut feeling when i was there i was about to sign, but something was telling me that it was not right. I mean i just need about 1 year to graduate from the community college, but the other place has something in which i have a pasion for. Also i find it weird that it is on a 4th floor in a building on downtown LA , not a typical campus. Ive heard that this private schools only want your money, and nothing else. Also is it worth it getting a degree in the fitness field?, they say that the degree they offer is very prestigious, but what if get the degree and end up with no job? that will be devastating.
also including the certificates i get a associaes degree in a exercise science. somehing that my campus doesnt offer.
